INTRODUCTION

Fracture Freaks is a local Co-op PVP game being developed by Friendly Giant Games  and is designed to be played with Controllers.

Game Universe

Fracture Freaks is set in a world very similar to our own, however an inter-dimensional event known as “The Fractures” saw multiple rips in space-time open up portals to other worlds, some similar, some radically different

As these alternate earths merged together they realized they had no way back to their own realities and panic ensued. 

At first most of the dimensions tried to work together but due to continually conflicting ideals and dwindling resources “The Fractured  Tournament” was born and every dimension was tasked with electing a champion to represent them in glorious combat. 

The winning Earth of the Fractured Tournament becomes the owners of the planet and is charged with leading the world until the next year's tournament.

Game Synopsis

Fracture Freaks has a fairly simple story, as the game focuses more on fun rather than narrative. The four characters who enter the arena are fighting for their world’s population, and must face of in multiple elimination rounds to prove who is the strongest. The character to win the required amount of rounds first is the victor, however, they find out they do not receive what was promised and are told to fight again. It turns out that the tournament is not actually to determine which population gets ownership of Earth, but rather is a form of population control through combat. The player starts a new game, and repeats the process.

Core Mechanics

• Round Based Game-Play: Players set the objective score to achieve. A point is awarded to the victor of each round, and rounds are played until the target score is reached.
• Death Boundary: Players must be aware of the ever present constricting boundaries which close in from the edges of the screen.
• The rate of closing is proportionate to the round duration timer.
• Character Roster: Players can pick from a roster of four characters. All characters have unique abilities designed for their own style of play. These characters are:
• Axe Freak: The Exiled Viking.
• Time Freak: The Cyborg Bounty Hunter.
• Gun Freak: The Firearm wielding Maniac.
• Zen Freak: The Powerful, Ageless Monk

Each round involves fast and hectic combat where the last player standing becomes the winner.
